Beech is an important and widely-used hardwood in Europe. Its hardness, wear-resistance, strength, and excellent bending capabilities—coupled with its low price—make this hardwood a mainstay for many European woodworkers. Steamed Beech timber is easy to work with and hardly ever splinters. Beech wood has natural discolouration which can cause the wood to lose its white color. To counteract this process and to reduce the amount of movement in service, the wood is lightly steamed. Steamed Beech is pink to light red.

Our European Beech panels are very lightly steamed and kiln-dried (approx. 10%). Lamellas width appr 45 mm (38-52mm), uniform in each panel. Perfect fingerjoint on the side of the board, on the topface only straight lines are visible.

Note well: Glued panels are very sensitive to humidity or humidity fluctations. To guarantee quality an order of wood panels will be prepared last-minute.
